LOVE CHINA plays songs
sung in both Mandarin "Mandopop" and Cantonese
"Cantopop". Hong Kong artists often sing
in English too. Although Mainland China has the
largest Mandarin speaking population in the world, the island
of Taiwan has always been both the musical and industrial
powerhouse of the Mando-pop genre. Canto-pop originates from Hong
Kong, and is strongly influenced by western pop. It's popular
throughout Asia, particularly in Singapore, Malaysia and South
Korea.
