ADVERTISE ON LOVE CHINA

Why advertise on Radio?

Radio is personal, it's considered a friend and is trusted.
Radio listeners actually notice the in-stream audio ads!  People regularly avert their eyes from press or banner ads, but listeners cannot close their ears!  They remain attentive when the ads come on and rarely turn off or channel-hop to avoid commercials*.

Why Internet Radio?

Internet stations are often highly specialised so provide advertisers with a highly targeted audience - therefore, for the right product, advertising on internet radio can be more cost-effective than general media where the overwhelming majority wouldn't be interested in the sales proposition.  People tend to listen 'close-up' using speakers right on their desk in front of them, or using earphones - they're not going to miss your ad or glance away from it!

Internet radio provides a far wider selection of stations than terrestrial radio. Listener's selection of station's is therefore more personal than terrestrial radio and better targeted at a given community of interest. Despite this, listeners to internet radio do 'tune around' more than audiences of terrestrial radio. This is actually a good thing for advertisers - it means you're not just hitting exactly the same small audience every time.

Advertising Executives often point out that radio is a "repetition medium", and that's true to a point, but there's an optimum number of times a listener needs to hear an ad if they're going to act on it - beyond a few times is just wastage. Internet stations have a nice churn of audience within their demographic, so advertisers can leave an ad running and it can reach a new audience every month.

Why LOVE CHINA?

Because our listener demographic fits your target demographic perfectly!  Our music policy is to play popular Mandarin and Cantonese hits from the last ten years.  This will appeal to listeners who are old enough to have disposable income, but young enough to be receptive to advertising.  The station is music driven with very little chat, therefore it crosses language divides.

One-third* of our audience listen using an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch - i.e. they're listening on earphones. There is no better way to put a message directly inside somebody's head!  Love China is reaching the elusive iPod generation!

Audience

The Love China audience is truly international and distributed fairly evenly throughout the most affluent areas of the world - particularly where Chinese is spoken.  In a typical month, Love China is listened to in over 100 countries (115 in our latest figures, February 2010).

Our audience in Asia has been growing rapidly, particularly in China itself as broadband and portable wifi devices, especially iPhones, have been becoming more widespread.

Because Love China is internet based, we have exact statistics from our servers about our audience.  Our listener data, direct from the server logs, is analysed here: Audience

Production

Clients can supply their own commercials, or we can take care of everything including writing a script and recording a commercial.  Our Commercial Producer is British, and has 25 years radio experience.
